Equipping advisers beyond the Budget
Following on from the success of our IHT Roadshow last year, we’ll be hitting the road again in January and February 2026, travelling to 10 different locations across the UK to examine the impact of recent Budgets on estate planning.
We are excited to be joined by Claire Trott from Technical Connection and Francesca Gandolfi & Steve McDonald from HSBC Life, who, along with our Strategic Partnership team, will provide valuable insights, real-life case studies and actionable solutions for advisers and paraplanners.

Claire Trott
Claire has worked in the pensions arena for the whole of her career which has ranged from a financial adviser dealing with pension transfers to helping advisers deal with the complexities of SIPPs and SSAS in a post simplification environment. Her role with Technical Connection continues to build on her ability to communicate clearly with various audiences using a wide array of media.

Francesca Gandolfi
At HSBC, as a Tax and Trust Technical Product Manager, Francesca’s focus is on providing technical guidance on complex estate planning, trusts and taxation, as well as the meticulous management and strategic development of Onshore Bond and Trust products. She works closely with the Business Development Managers across the UK to deliver technical support and insightful presentations on trusts and taxation.

Steve McDonald
Steve’s career spans over 30 years within the Banking and Financial Services sectors. Prior to joining HSBC Life this included senior roles at major UK life assurance companies such as Axa, Royal London & Aviva, private banks, UBS and more recently Brown Shipley together with a number of national IFA businesses, as well as being a director of his own financial planning business.
